POST PDO THREAD TREATMENT
-
Do not expect immediate results - please read full information on realistic results on the PDO treatment page
-
Realistic results are a crucial element of PDO Thread therapy. Generally, post-treatment, you will have some immediate results. With all thread types, however, collagen production takes time and results will continue to improve over the following 2-3 months, lasting up to 18 months depending on the nature of the treatment. The thread itself will dissolve entirely after approximately six months.
-
Mono Threads take up 8-10 weeks to take effect.
-
Post treatment you will feel numb in the treated area due to the local anaesthetic used, this is completely normal and will wear off within 2 hours post treatment.
-
Avoid rubbing or touching the treated area for 48 hours post treatment.
-
Avoid Makeup for 12 hours on the treated area.
-
Avoid Alcohol and smoking for 24 hours post treatment.
-
Avoid extreme heat or cool temperatures for one week post treatment. Spas, Saunas, Ice Baths etc.
-
Avoid exercise on the day of treatment.
-
Avoid AHA’s, Retinol, Chemical Peels, Laser and Hydro/ Micro dermabrasion for 2 weeks post treatment.
-

-
While you may experience no side effects at all all, common side effects such as pain, redness, swelling, bruising, itching, firmness or discolouration at the treatment site for up to 7 days post treatment.
-
The treated area may feel lumpy for 4-6 weeks post treatment. This is completely normal.
-
We highly recommend you return for a post treatment review at 4 weeks to ensure you have optimum results.
-
Please remember PDO threads are not cosmetic surgery, in rare cases we may recommend a second treatment for the best possible results.
